More about
donating...
Many times we are
asked what items we need. Shipping is expensive and often exceeds the
value of the item (unless brought in via plane with a missions team). Customs duty rates can also be costly and this takes time.
Basic supplies can be purchased locally at much lower cost than in the
US. This also helps the local economy. So bottom line, the most
effective way to help immediately is through a financial contribution
to Theos Work.
Although, we are
working towards becoming more self-sustaining through agriculture at
the village/farm, food is still our greatest expense. You may ease
our burden of routine operating expenses (food, clothing, medical
care, etc.-- imagine all that it takes to care for a family of
hundreds!) or designate a specific purpose.
All
donations to Theo’s Work, Inc. are tax-deductible as the organization
is a 501(c) (3) charity.
